Holin Waste to Energy

SOLID WASTE to ENERGY

Holin Energy Ltd in cooperation with a German based Engineering and production Company installs pyrolytic, grate and rotary kiln waste incinerators for the disposal of solid medical, municipal (mixed household refuse) and industrial (including hazardous) waste.

Holin Energy Ltd waste incinerators are primarily responsible for the disposal of medical waste created by the health industry, and also to small and medium-sized municipalities in developed areas. The through the process of the solid waste emergingn CO2 will be used for the production facilities of Holin Energy Ltd to produce Holin Bio Fuel's out of Aquatic Algal species. Heat and steam will be converted to Electricity and brought into the Public Electricity System.

LIQUID WASTE to ENERGY

The new technology process recycles liquid waste into environmentally friendly, usable byproducts.  These byproducts include: a gaseous bio fuel, heat, coal and organic liquid fertilizer or irrigation water which can be upgraded to drinking water.  The produced bio Gas is a cost competitive and clean burning fuel that is interchangeable with Natural Gas.  It has the lowest Green House bio Gas emissions when compared to fossil fuel and emits very little noise and no air, or water pollution.  The bio fuel can be used to produce electricity, cook, heat, or power natural gas automobiles.

The new technology convert’s most liquid waste into a clean fuel Hydrogenous bio Gas.This bio Gas is a cost competitive synthetic gas made from most liquid waste such as sewage, sludge, animal manure, used motor oil, used antifreeze, and waste water. The bio Gas is a hydrogen based fuel that has a combination of hydrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide and inert trace gases.

The revolutionary recycler creates this natural bio gas substitute, which can power gasturbines to produce electricity, cars, cooking grills, industrial equipment, and homes.  The machine uses a patented electrical process to decompose the liquid waste molecules into atoms, and the atoms are then recombined into hydrogenous bio Gas which is Interchangeable with Natural Gas.

The new technology Recycles:

City Sewage and/or Sludge
Liquid and Solid Animal Waste
Automotive Liquid Waste
Petroleum and Petroleum By-Products
Oil Based Liquid Waste
Glycerin & Bio-fuel By-Products
Ethanol By-Products
Paint & Thinner Waste

Oil based liquids mixed with water 50:50, yields 1 liter into 1000 liters. This is because 100% of the liquid is converted into New Gas (biogas)

When processing sewage or sludge which is 96%-99.99% water the conversion is far less. It is about 2500 gallons of sewage at 1% yields 1000 cubic feet of new bio gas and 2485 gallons of water (either nutrient rich fertilizer or secondary water depending on the contents or density of the sewage)

A good use of new bio gas is as a metal cutting fuel that replaces and is superior to acetylene or a natural gas substitute.

The New bio Gas system replaces existing sewage treatments plants at a fraction of the cost to build and operate a traditional system. Additionally you create a clean burning biogas and byproducts.

Green-bio Gas fuel was shown by EPA accredited laboratory analysis results to be suitable for use as automotive fuel without catalytic converters while surpassing all current EPA requirements for combustion exhaust emissions, as shown below.

As the demand for HOILN™ BIO Energy Products are increasing daily.

HOLIN Bio Diesel - HOLIN Bio Heating Fuel

Bio Fuel helps reducing Air Pollution - consists of pure nature and is produced at home and not imported

The US situation is also applying to the European market, this shall show to replace the fossile diesel and heating fuel to bio diesel fuel, whereby the US market is one of the largest oil consuming within the world. Therefore developing alternatives to oil and dependence of imports should be one of the European and US and part of the emerging markets countries.

HOLIN Bio Energy Products can help to solve some of this conversion from fossil to bio fuels through producing the bio fuels out of selfregenerating plants grown and harvested within the Refineries own premises.

In the United States, oil is primarily used for transportation - roughly two-thirds of all oil use, in fact. So, developing an alternative means of powering our cars, trucks, and buses would go a long way towards weaning us, and the world, off of oil. While the so-called "hydrogen economy" receives a lot of attention in the media, there are several very serious problems with using hydrogen as an automotive fuel. For automobiles, the best alternative at present is clearly biodiesel, a fuel that can be used in existing diesel engines with no changes, and is made from vegetable oils or animal fats rather than petroleum.

n this paper, it will first examine the possibilities of producing biodiesel on the scale necessary to replace all petroleum transportation fuels in the U.S.

Large scale production

There are two steps that would need to be taken for producing biodiesel on a large scale - growing the feedstocks, and processing them into biodiesel. The main issue that is often contested is whether or not we would be able to grow enough crops to provide the vegetable oil (feedstock) for producing the amount of biodiesel that would be required to completely replace petroleum as a transportation fuel. So, that is the main issue that will be addressed here. The point of this article is not to argue that this approach is the only one that makes sense, or that we should ignore other options (there are some other very appealing options as well, and realistically it makes more sense for a combination of options to be used). Rather, the point is merely to look at one option for producing biodiesel, and see if it would be capable of meeting our needs.

One of the important concerns about wide-scale development of biodiesel is if it would displace croplands currently used for food crops. In the US, roughly 450 million acres of land is used for growing crops, with the majority of that actually being used for producing animal feed for the meat industry.Another 580 million acres is used for grassland pasture and range, according to the USDA's Economic Research Service. This accounts for nearly half of the 2.3 billion acres within the US (only 3% of which, or 66 million acres, is categorized as urban land). For any biofuel to succeed at replacing a large quantity of petroleum, the yield of fuel per acre needs to be as high as possible.

At heart, biofuels are a form of solar energy, as plants use photosynthesis to convert solar energy into chemical energy stored in the form of oils, carbohydrates, proteins, etc. The more efficient a particular plant is at converting that solar energy into chemical energy, the better it is from a biofuels perspective.

The fuel bio Diesel is very similar in its characteristics to the normal Diesel, however not from oil, but of vegetable or animal fats is made. The most well-known vegetable oils are: Rapeseel oil, Soja oil, Sunflower oil and Palm oil. We use an alternative special self regenerating source of plant which is used for the production of HOLIN™ Bio Energy Products like HOLIN™ Bio Diesel and HOLIN Bio Heating Fuel.

In order to be able to make of these plants oil or bio Diesel it will be through a chemical process submitted. This procedure is called transesterification. In a chemical reaction the fat existing in the oil is replaced by methanol or ethanol. A caustic solution serves thereby as catalyst. The result of the transesterification is called methyl ester. If Rapeseedoil is used, then we call it Raps methyl ester (RME). If other plants are used it is called Plant methyl esther (PME). The remainings after processing the plants is called Press Cake from this process and can be used and sold variously, e.g. for the Pharma Industrie and the Agro Business as fertilizer.

We are able to produce the Ethanol we need with our own Ethanol production line which will be integrated within the Refineries premises.

With rising interest in bio Diesel as alternative to fossil Diesel many cultivated areas for energy plants are used. From this two problems develop.

First of all: the energy plants displace the traditional cultivation of grain for the nutrition of humans.

Secondly: The energy plants used so far are not the most effective form of the production of vegetable oil.

We have a alternative plant to produce HOLINÔ Bio Energy Products as HOLIN Bio Diesel and HOLIN™ Bio Heating Fuel off, this plant is self regenerating and is grown and harvested at our own facilities, we are absolutely independent of the Agro Business crops and do not need any additional oil plants to be bought or delivered to us.

This a unique situation and has been developed with a partner company within years of researching and tries in the bio chemical and plant field.

What is the energy efficiency for producing biodiesel?

Based on a report by the US DOE and USDA entitled "Life Cycle Inventory of Biodiesel and Petroleum Diesel for Use in an Urban Bus" biodiesel produced from soy has an energy balance of 3.2:1. That means that for each unit of energy put into growing the soybeans and turning the soy oil into biodiesel, we get back 3.2 units of energy in the form of biodiesel. That works out to an energy efficiency of 320% (when only looking at fossil energy input - input from the sun, for example, is not included). The reason for the energy efficiency being greater than 100% is that the growing soybeans turn energy from the sun into chemical energy (oil). Current generation diesel engines are 43% efficient (HCCI diesel engines under development, and heavy duty diesel engines have higher efficiencies approaching 55% (better than fuel cells), but for the moment we'll just use current car-sized diesel engine technology).  That 3.2 energy balance is for biodiesel made from soybean oil - a rather inefficient crop for the purpose.  Other feedstocks such as the special plant used by HOLIN Bio Energy Products can yield substantially higher energy balances, as can using thermochemical processes for processing wastes into biofuels (such as the thermal depolymerization process pioneered by Changing World Technologies).  Such approaches can yield EROI values ranging from 5-10, potentially even higher.

HOLIN Bio Heat to Electricity made of Nature

Biogas is a natural decomposition product that develops when manure and other organic substances from agriculture, businesses and communities are fermented. It is used in block heat power plants (BHPP) for producing electricity and heat.

The remaining residue can be converted into high-grade PCa fertilizer and valuable compost.

We convert liquid waste into Green Gas to produce Electricity and Heat.

The by the BPP plant produced Electricity will be delivered to the public Energy System, the produced heat will be fully used within the plant growing cycle and part of it to feed the water warming system. The by the burning of the residue developed CO2 will be seperated through a special designed exhaustion system and will be brought into the PHBR.

A Global Market Survey is designed to help financiers, producers, developers, distributors, consultants and analysts with a fact-filled market guide detailing medium and long-term trends and developments in the Biodiesel sector. This study focuses on market fundamentals, emerging market trends, long-term forecasts and scenarios, and case studies of existing and up and coming biodiesel producers and distributors.

"The global market for biodiesel is poised for explosive growth in the next ten years. Although Europe currently represents 90% of global biodiesel consumption and production, the U.S. is now ramping up production at a faster rate than Europe, and Brazil is expected to surpass U.S. and European biodiesel production by the year 2015," says William Thurmond, Author of Biodiesel 2020 and Director of Management Consulting at Emerging Markets Online.

"It is possible that Biodiesel could represent as much as 20% of all on-road diesel used in Brazil, Europe, China and India by the year 2020. If governments continue to aggressively pursue targets; enact investor-friendly tax incentives for production and blending; and help to promote research & development in new biodiesel feedstocks such as algae biodiesel, the prospects for biodiesel may become realized faster than anticipated. Biodiesel 2020 finds that each of these variables will be essential to the eventual success of these targets" author William Thurmond notes.

In the USA, the market for biodiesel is growing at an alarming rate. Biodiesel consumption in the U.S. grew from 25 million gallons per year in 2004 to 78 million gallons in 2005. Biodiesel production in the U.S. is expected to reach 300 million gallons by the end of 2006, and to reach approximately 750 million gallons per year in 2007.

Demand for biodiesel in the U.S. has grown so fast in 2006 that the seventy or so existing major biodiesel plants are barely able to keep up. To meet this demand, over fifty new, larger-scale plants are in construction and are expected to come online between 2007 and 2008. Not only will these fifty plants more than double the U.S. production capacity, but the size and production volumes of the new plants are much bigger on average.

The new study Biodiesel 2020 observes geographic shifts in biodiesel production plants, distribution facilities and downstream locations into new areas and coastal regions. The biodiesel market in the U.S. has a significant amount of room to grow to reach the status of its European counterparts. In Europe, biodiesel represents 2% of total on-road transportation fuel consumption and is expected to reach 6% by 2010. The total biodiesel being sold in the U.S. amounts to less than 1/2 of 1% of all petro-diesel on-road consumption in 2006.

In this regard, there are promising growth indicators for the future of the U.S. biodiesel markets. The number of retail outlets for biodiesel in the U.S. grew more than three fold from 300 in 2005 to over 950 retail sites in 2006.  Another growth push in the U.S. biodiesel industry is coming from all-star promotional campaign including Willie Nelson and Barry Switzer (both investors and executives in biodiesel companies) as well as Julia Roberts, Daryl Hannah, Luke Perry and Neil Young. U.S. politicians, prompted by concerns for energy security and environmental issues, are also making news promoting biodiesel as a vital renewable energy source.

In other parts of the world, biodiesel is becoming increasingly important as governments react to growing petroleum import dependency and enact new alternative fuels policies and targets. Economic and environmental security concerns are giving birth to new government targets and incentives in China, India, Brazil and Europe, aimed at reducing petroleum imports and increasing the consumption and production of alternative and renewable fuels.

Biodiesel is a natural fit in places like Europe, China, India and Brazil where diesel fuel is more commonly used in than it is in the U.S.  In these markets, the prospects for biodiesel as a replacement for diesel are not only bigger in terms of total market share, but also in terms of conversion rates among existing drivers.

With an eye on the future, Biodiesel 2020: A Global Market Survey provides forecasts and scenarios to the year 2020 for the U.S. and European markets as well as the "big emerging markets" of China, Brazil and India.

For Brazil, China and India, the study includes long-term forecasts and year 2020 scenarios, each measuring growth in the diesel and biodiesel markets, as well as focusing on the potential for biodiesel growth.
For each of the global markets, this study has developed proprietary forecasts as a baseline to produce 2020 "Scenarios" for the U.S., Europe, China, India and Brazil.

The initial results from the study Biodiesel 2020: A Global Market Survey find that new developers, farmers, feedstock providers, producers, and investors who can meet growing demands for supply are expected to benefit from this emerging market. In addition, this study finds key advantages in the future will be available to producers and investors to supply future needs with new and improved technologies; alternative feed stocks with higher yields such as palm oil and plant biodiesel; production scalability and flexibility options; supply chain, distribution and co-location strategies; innovative risk management strategies; and industry-friendly government targets and tax incentives committed to promoting the awareness and growth of the industry.
